“It's not how you identify with your Judaism, it's that you identify Jewishly. I think that is the future of religion... People around you might not look like you, pray like you - but in my congregation, you're welcome. And more than welcome, we're interested in learning what makes you, you."
Every Family has a Story…Welcome to Ours!
“And a little child shall lead them…” (Isaiah 11:6)
My journey into motherhood was anything but typical (but that’s a story of faith for another time). With strong values, principles, and an unwavering belief that everything happens for a reason, my son Ezra was born in 2014.
Surrounded by four generations of extended Morrison family, Ezra and I cherish the times that we are able to spend with Ezra’s three great-grandparents, four grandparents, two uncles and countless friends who have lovingly become our adoptive family. Ezra’s life has truly brought together so many people into one village of love. Through simchas and times of need, our community’s outstretched arms have fully enveloped our family and allowed us to soar to new heights of gratitude for the home community we have in Miami.
And now, looking forward to new beginnings, a new congregation - Temple Israel of Miami, and a new community full of friends and family, I smile at the fact that my son and I are being guided by God and can't wait to see what happens next!
